Breast Lift Surgery (Mastopexy)

Breast lift surgery is a procedure designed to firm and lift breasts and to restore a fuller and youthful appearance.

Restore your confidence with youthful, firmer breasts.

A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is a cosmetic surgery that lifts and reshapes sagging breasts to create a more youthful, perky appearance. It's a popular choice for women who’ve experienced changes in breast shape due to pregnancy, breastfeeding, aging, or weight loss.

At World Medi Group, our board-certified plastic surgeons use advanced techniques that ensure minimal scarring, reduced swelling, and faster healing. We combine state-of-the-art medical facilities with warm, personalized care to give you natural, long-lasting results.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Breast Lift Surgery?

You may be an ideal candidate if you:

  • Have sagging or drooping breasts

  • Have stretched skin or reduced breast volume

  • Have enlarged or stretched areolas

  • Have nipples that point downward

  • Experience breast asymmetry

  • Want firmer, more lifted breasts without implants

A breast lift can be done alone or combined with breast implants (augmentation) or breast reduction for enhanced results.

Preparing for Your Breast Lift

1 Month Before

  • Stop using blood-thinning medications such as aspirin and vitamin E (under medical supervision).

  • Stop smoking completely to support healthy healing.

1 Week Before

  • You’ll have pre-op tests including blood work and heart evaluation.

  • Your surgeon will provide clear instructions tailored to your case.

1 Day Before

  • Follow fasting instructions (no food or drink after the time specified by your doctor).

  • Pack a bag with loose clothing, comfortable shoes, and a supportive sports bra.

Day of Surgery

  • Do not apply lotions, makeup, deodorant, or hair products.

  • We'll arrange your transport from hotel to clinic and back.

  • It's best to have someone accompany you and stay for the first 48 hours after surgery.

The Procedure: What to Expect

Breast lift surgery usually takes 1–2 hours under general anesthesia. The surgeon will:

  • Remove excess skin from below the breast or around the areola

  • Lift and reshape the underlying breast tissue

  • Reposition the nipple to a more elevated, natural position

This results in firmer, rounder, and more youthful-looking breasts.
Your surgeon may also recommend combining the lift with augmentation (implants) or reduction, depending on your goals.

  • You’ll receive pain medication and post-op care guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions

When can I return to normal activities after a breast lift?
Most patients return to light activities after 1 week, and resume their full routine around 4 weeks post-op. Always follow your surgeon's advice.

Can I still breastfeed after breast lift surgery?

In most cases, yes. Breast lift surgery does not typically interfere with breastfeeding. However, future pregnancies and breastfeeding may stretch the breasts again and affect results.
